Job summary

Amentum seeks a Mechanical Process Engineer for its Advanced Solutions Group. You will design high-pressure cryogenic and pneumatic piping, high-temperature and HVAC systems, and support equipment selection across automotive and aerospace test facilities.

Responsibilities include calculations, drawings, coordination with vendors, and leading project teams while managing budgets and schedules. A background in ABET-accredited mechanical engineering and 5+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Aerospace or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, or 2–3 years with MS.
• Experience with process piping systems and multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Design process and mechanical systems including cryogenic piping.
• Prepare calculations, specs, and engineering drawings; lead reviews.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams on projects.
• Develop technical reports and support design reviews with clients.
