Amentum seeks an Early Career Mechanical Process Engineer to join our Advanced Solutions Group, with options to base in Tullahoma, TN; Farmington Hills, MI; or Greenville, SC. You’ll contribute to the design, construction, and operation of complex facilities across defense, energy, and civilian sectors, collaborating across engineering disciplines on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required to comply with government customer requirements.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid flow, and process systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop new process system designs for research and test facilities.
• Plan and coordinate engineering work under a Senior Engineer.
• Analyze design features and project requirements using engineering principles.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and clients.
• Size and specify piping, ducting, and components for high-pressure and cryogenic systems.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team to meet budgets and schedules.
• Support design reviews and project meetings with clients.
