Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Early Career Mechanical Process Engineer for the Advanced Solutions Group. You may be based in Tullahoma, TN; Farmington Hills, MI; or Greenville, SC. You will work on process system designs for research and test facilities as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities include planning engineering work, performing calculations, and delivering technical reports. A strong background in mechanical/process engineering and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and process engineering analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop process system designs for research and test facilities.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering work.
• Analyze design features and apply engineering principles.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and clients.
• Collaborate with related engineering disciplines.
• Size and specify piping/ducting systems and components.
• Design high-pressure cryogenic/pneumatic piping and high-temp systems.
• Support project manager and senior engineer on design efforts.
• Participate in design reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop calculations and drawings, gather data, and layouts.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field
