Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Mechanical Professional Engineer II to independently design and coordinate mechanical systems for energy and infrastructure projects. You will lead portions of projects, delivering code‑compliant HVAC, hydronic, and thermal plant designs for campuses while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will support permitting, procurement, and field conditions, producing calculations and drawings that meet performance and energy efficiency goals within ENFRA’s design‑build

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or related
• 7+ years of design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and design practices
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary deliverables
• Strong communication and technical writing skills

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents.
• Leading design and analysis of mechanical systems for projects of moderate complexity.
• Developing project deliverables including calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Improving existing systems and supporting development of new solutions.
• Preparing detailed system configurations and control schemes with emphasis on long‑term energy savings.
• Conducting field investigations and supporting site visits; coordinating 3D laser scanning.
• Coordinating with internal disciplines and supporting construction‑phase activities.
• Performing work with a high degree of latitude.
• Resolving complex technical issues independently.
• Providing informal mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Interfacing directly with clients on technical matters.
• May act as task lead or discipline lead on projects.
