Job summary

ENFRA in Orlando, FL seeks a Mechanical Professional Engineer II to independently design and coordinate HVAC, hydronic, and thermal plant systems for energy and infrastructure projects on hospital and college campuses.

The role leads portions of projects, delivers code-compliant, constructible designs, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to meet performance and energy objectives within ENFRA’s design-build model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural or mechanical engineering.
• 7+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and design practices.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary deliverables.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents.
• Design and analysis of mechanical systems for moderately complex projects.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Improve existing systems and support new solutions.
• Develop detailed system configurations and control schemes focusing on long-term energy savings.
• Conduct field investigations and site visits; coordinate 3D laser scanning.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and support construction activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Interface with clients on technical matters.
• Possibly act as task lead or discipline lead on projects.
