Job summary

ENFRA LLC is hiring a Mechanical Professional Engineer II to independently apply advanced engineering techniques for HVAC, hydronic, and thermal plant systems on energy and infrastructure projects. You will lead portions of projects, ensuring code‑compliant, constructible designs while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting permitting, procurement, and field conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or related.
• 7+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and design practices.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary deliverables.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents.
• Leads design and analysis of mechanical systems for projects of moderate complexity.
• Develops project deliverables including calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Improves existing systems and supports development of new solutions.
• Prepares detailed system configurations and control schemes with emphasis on long‑term energy savings.
• Conducts field investigations and supports site visits. Coordinates and plans 3D laser scanning effort.
• Coordinates with internal disciplines and supports construction‑phase activities.
• Performs work with a high degree of latitude.
• Resolves complex technical issues independently.
• Provides informal mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Interfaces directly with clients on technical matters.
• May act as task lead or discipline lead on projects.
