Job summary

ENFRA, a leader in Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS), seeks a Mechanical Professional Engineer I to design, analyze, and support mechanical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on campuses. You will prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring constructible, energy-efficient designs.

You will sign and seal documents where applicable and contribute to systems meeting performance and lifecycle objectives within ENFRA’s design‑build

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering systems and design principles.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents, as applicable.
• Performs analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems (HVAC, hydronic, energy systems, etc.).
• Prepares calculations, drawings, and specifications under established standards.
• Assists with the creations of detailed system configurations and control schemes with emphasis on long-term energy savings.
• Conducts field investigations and supports site visits. Coordinates and plans 3D laser scanning effort.
• Assists in project execution, including coordination with internal teams.
• Applies engineering techniques within defined assignments.
• Performs work under general supervision.
• Handles moderately complex issues; escalates more complex problems to senior staff.
