Job Description: The role involves performing preventative and planned maintenance tasks while collaborating with the maintenance planner and production supervisors to address comments and suggestions. Quick and professional repair of mechanical failures is essential, adhering to EHS rules. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing various plant equipment, troubleshooting issues with components such as pumps, conveyors, and valves, and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation. The technician will implement a reliability-centered maintenance system, document maintenance jobs, and train operators on simple tasks. Additionally, they will participate in plant shutdowns, cooperate with other departments, and join a weekly on-call rotation to address critical issues promptly.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate should have at least two years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in chemical or food industries. Certification in welding and/or fabrication is preferred, along with experience working with equipment such as conveyors, pumps, and valves. Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical blueprints and operating various mechanical tools is essential. Candidates must also be forklift certified and demonstrate strong attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility. A solid commitment to safety and a strong aptitude for mathematics are also required.
