Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation offers a Maintenance Internship focused on hands-on work with maintenance craftsmen to troubleshoot, start up, commission, and maintain plant assets in a lean manufacturing environment.

The program includes on-the-job training with a defined plan, and the selected student will work with our maintenance team to learn locating problems, disassembling machinery, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at an accredited university/college/trade school and be pursuing at least a two-year technical degree in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent area.
• Required cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to work minimum 20 hours beginning Summer 2027 and up to 1,000 hours in any 12-month period.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for maintenance, engineering, and production.
• Troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of plant assets.
• Support lean and continuous improvement projects within maintenance and production.
