Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Intern to assist maintenance, engineering, and production in a lean manufacturing setting. You will work hands-on with the maintenance team to learn machining, measuring instruments, and rebuilding mechanical components.

The program offers on-the-job training and emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to procedures as you support in-house rebuilds and component repair within the plant.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at an accredited university/college/trade school pursuing at least a two-year technical degree in a machining discipline or equivalent.
• Required GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance, engineering, and production in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Safely perform assigned tasks competently and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Onboard as a maintenance trainee intern and work with the maintenance team and supervisors.
• Learn to use precision measuring and testing instruments, drawings, and diagrams.
• Learn to machine and rebuild mechanical components and perform duties as needed in the plant.

Education
