Job summary

Carpenter Technology seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to provide mechanical support for maintenance, engineering and production in a lean manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot, startup, commission and maintain plant assets, focusing on safety, reliability and cost efficiency.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and an AS in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent experience; at least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a HS diploma or GED; AS degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and P&IDs; basic welding and pipefitting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical support for maintenance, engineering and production.
• Troubleshoot, startup, commissioning and maintain plant assets.
• Direct and/or perform maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
• Assist other production team members with specific equipment and processes.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
