EVS Broadcast Equipment in Allendale Charter Township, MI, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Technical Lead to own the mechanical architecture across products from concept to production. You will drive design decisions, ensure manufacturability, and collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Production teams to deliver reliable mechanical solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor or Master in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing with emphasis on drive mechanisms, gears, motors and precision electromechanical devices.
• Strong understanding of all aspects of new product development and CAD proficiency in SolidWorks.

Aufgaben

• Own the mechanical architecture and design of electronic equipment, including enclosures, chassis, assemblies and mechanical interfaces.
• Act as the internal expert on materials, manufacturing processes, thermal management, acoustics, vibration and EMC-related mechanical constraints.
• Lead CAD development, including complex 3D designs and relevant simulation/analysis activities.
• Drive mechanical activities throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Ensure appropriate design reviews, verification and configuration management.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners on component development, tooling, qualification and production ramp-up.
• Ensure mechanical documentation, BOMs and production data are accurate and delivered on time.
• Resolve mechanical issues through structured root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of 2–3 mechanical engineers/designers.
