Job summary

EVS is seeking a Senior Mechanical Lead to own the mechanical architecture and drive design activities for electronic equipment from concept through production. You will be the technical reference for mechanical design and ensure on-time delivery across programs.

You will lead a small team of mechanical engineers/designers, mentor them, and collaborate with Hardware, Software, Integration, Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Product Management to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in mechanical engineering or equivalent with 6+ years of mechanical design and manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of drive mechanisms, gears, motors and precision electromechanical devices.
• Proficient in 3D/2D CAD design and materials, interfaces, thermal management, acoustics, vibration and EMC constraints.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical architecture and design of electronic equipment, including enclosures, chassis, assemblies and interfaces.
• Lead CAD development and simulations for complex 3D designs.
• Drive mechanical activities across the product development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Ensure design reviews, verification and configuration management.
• Mentor and develop a small team of 2-3 engineers/designers.
