Résumé du poste

Bosch in Michigan is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead automotive hardware development from concept through production launch. You will work with OEMs to define requirements and drive robust hardware architectures for infotainment, ADAS, and cross-domain ECUs.

The role demands strong schematic, signal- and power-integrity skills, plus experience with EMI/EMC, DFMEAs, and design-for-manufacturing. Travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 7 years of experience designing and developing electronic hardware, including ownership of complex circuit designs and delivery through verification or production release.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in schematic capture, circuit analysis, laboratory debugging, technical documentation, and design reviews.
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly and collaborate effectively across disciplines, organizations, and geographic regions.

Responsabilités

  • Work directly with automotive OEM customers to elicit, analyze, document, and manage functional, electrical, environmental, safety, and EMC requirements.
  • Define system and hardware architectures for products that include switch-mode power supplies, power switches, LVDS transceivers, HDMI receivers, USB hubs, embedded microcontrollers, audio/video codecs, and standards-based wireless communications such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
  • Lead schematic design, component selection, design reviews, interface definition, and printed circuit board layout guidance, including signal-integrity, power-integrity, thermal, grounding, and design-for-manufacturing considerations.
  • Perform simulations, worst-case circuit analysis, tolerance analysis, design failure mode and effects analyses (DFMEAs), fault-tree analyses, and similar design-assurance activities.
  • Develop and negotiate hardware verification and EMC validation plans that satisfy internal, customer, and applicable automotive requirements; maintain requirements-to-test traceability.
  • Troubleshoot validation, manufacturing, and vehicle issues through bench-level debugging, testing, measurement, root-cause analysis, and prototyping; drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Manage hardware deliverables, technical risks, design documentation, change control, and release readiness across the product life cycle.
  • Lead and collaborate with local and global cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and customers to meet quality, cost, timing, and performance targets.
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers and contribute to hardware design standards, reusable methods, and continuous improvement.
  • Travel as required, including occasional international travel and travel to domestic customer and global company locations.
