Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechanical Integration Lead to drive installation, integration, and deployment of material handling equipment across North American fulfillment centers. This hands-on leadership role ensures safety, schedule, cost and quality standards are met.

Candidate can sit at any Amazon location in the US. You will lead installation crews, coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and operations, and deliver multi-site projects with rigorous safety and performance expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering including a supervisory role
• 5+ years of industrial/ manufacturing/ project engineering in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supervising installation crews, maintenance technicians, or tradespeople
• Experience with project management of technical projects in fast-paced, automated industrial environments
• Experience delivering technical projects in active construction environments
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically (may exceed 50% with short notice)
• Ability to read and understand installation drawings

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and lead mechanical installation crews deploying MHE across North American facilities
• Oversee structural header steel installation including hanging steel and anchoring to building structure
• Lead conveyor prep, staging, and placement operations on installed supports
• Manage conveyor connections and belting crews ensuring proper alignment and tightening
• Direct side guide and netting installation ensuring proper alignment and tension
• Oversee belt crew operations for belting and lacing on conveyors
• Manage pneumatic systems installation including air connections and leak verification
• Coordinate with logistics to stage and distribute materials to work zones on schedule
• Lead mechanical QC and commissioning activities including alignment verification and inspections
• Oversee conveyor run-in testing and belt tension checks
• Manage mechanical punch list identification and repair
• Verify IOQ checks and ensure specs before handoff to electrical teams
• Ensure proper match-marking of nuts/bolts for tightness across connections
• Provide mechanical engineering expertise for automation initiatives
• Implement technical solutions and lead project-level decisions within mechanical scope
• Develop mechanical installation standards and best practices
• Create technical documentation including SOPs and QC checklists
• Participate in design reviews and drive engineering excellence
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
• Lead multi-site mechanical installation projects and coordinate cross-functionally
• Ensure sequencing with electrical teams and manage vendor relationships
• Provide data-driven input to leadership for decision making
• Support safety, timeline, cost, and quality metrics across zones
• Participate in daily progress reviews
• Maintain site coordination and supervisor oversight
