Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechanical Integration Lead to drive installation, integration, and deployment of material handling equipment across multiple US fulfillment sites. This hands-on engineering leadership ensures safety, schedule, cost, and quality standards are met.

You will manage installation crews, lead conveyor and steel work, coordinate with logistics, and oversee QC, commissioning, and documentation. Travel up to 50% domestically in a fast-paced automation environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering including a supervisory role managing people.
• 5+ years in industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer roles.
• Experience supervising installation crews, maintenance technicians, or tradespeople.
• Experience with project management of technical projects in fast-paced automated environments.
• Experience delivering technical projects in active construction environments.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically; travel may exceed 50% with short notice.
• Ability to read and understand installation drawings.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and lead mechanical installation crews deploying MHE across North American facilities.
• Oversee conveyor prep and placement operations and structural steel installation.
• Lead belt, pulley, and hardware installation and ensure proper alignment and torque.
• Coordinate with logistics and receiving to stage materials on schedule.
• Lead mechanical QC, commissioning, and documentation for handoff to electrical teams.
• Drive safety, timeline, cost, and quality metrics across zones.
