Performance Contracting Group is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Insulation Estimator for its San Antonio operations. You will perform quantitative takeoffs, establish labor productivities, and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams, reading specifications, and supporting the estimating process while ensuring safety and adherence to schedules. This is an entry-level, safety-sensitive position in San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications

• Must read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
• Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
• Proactive and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimate.
• Maintain relationships with vendors for pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for non-self-performing work.
• Understand market conditions through customer feedback on proposals and price.
• Assess backlog and risk to set margins.
• Participate in internal bid reviews.
• Build positive customer relationships during alignment.
• Use wage and benefit schedules.
• Hand-off secured projects to Operations.
• Assist with change orders and other duties as assigned.
• Support estimating team for product line collaboration.
