Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Insulation Estimator for PCI 556 Sacramento operations based in North Highlands, CA. The role focuses on creating comprehensive estimates for bidding mechanical insulation work and involves takeoffs, labor productivity, vendor pricing, and bid reviews.

The position requires strong reading of drawings/specifications, solid cost analysis, and the ability to work with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating construction projects and managing specialty scopes.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Cost analysis skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret project schedules and sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimates.
• Maintain relationships with vendors for pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for non-self-performed work.
• Contribute to internal bid reviews and customer alignment objectives.
• Handoff secured projects to Operations and assist in change orders.
