Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead onsite oversight of mechanical installations for utility-scale renewable energy projects. You will coordinate with EPC partners, OEMs, and subcontractors, ensuring QA/QC, safety, and schedule adherence across piles, trackers, modules, inverters, and BESS systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, construction experience in renewables, strong communication, and willingness to travel across the United

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with solar, BESS, or wind projects preferred.
• Ability to travel across the United States.
• Strong coordination of multiple trades in a fast-paced field environment.
• Proficient with MS Office, Bluebeam, Adobe, and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day onsite oversight of piles, trackers, modules, inverters, and BESS mechanical systems on utility-scale projects.
• Coordinate with EPC partners, OEMs, and subcontractors to meet installation requirements.
• Maintain QA/QC for mechanical installations and ensure safety and schedule alignment.
• Manage NCRs and corrective actions with root cause analysis and resolution tracking.
• Document inspections, decisions, and field changes thoroughly.
