Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. offers an internship within our Buildings practice, focusing on mechanical engineering and HVAC design. You’ll work with engineers and designers on multiple projects for public and private sector clients, gaining hands-on experience and industry exposure.

This 40-hour-per-week role can be based in Rochester, Albany, or Binghamton, NY, or Burlington, MA. You’ll learn to apply engineering principles, perform calculations, and collaborate across disciplines

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Ability to report to multiple NY offices (Rochester, Albany, Binghamton) or Burlington, MA.
Some fieldwork may be required.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Building Mechanical Engineers and Designers to prepare reports, design documents, and calculations.
Perform engineering calculations using HVAC design software and Excel.
Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare HVAC and plumbing drawings and details.
Learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams.
Participate in Summer Intern Design Project with interns of other building design disciplines.
