Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in New York, NY is offering a mechanical internship within the Buildings-US Northeast Engineering group. You will work with engineers and designers on multiple projects for public and private sector clients, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with reports, calculations, and drawings using AutoCAD MEP and Revit, learning core engineering principles, and collaborating with cross‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• The candidate should have the ability to report to the office in New York City.
• Some fieldwork may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Building Mechanical Engineers and Designers to prepare reports, design documents, and calculations.
• Perform engineering calculations using HVAC design software and Excel.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare HVAC and plumbing drawings and details.
• Learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real‑world problems.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Participate in Summer Intern Design Project with interns of other building design disciplines.
