Stantec is seeking a mechanical engineering intern to support our Buildings team in designing HVAC, plumbing, and related systems. You will assist engineers and designers, develop drawings and calculations, and gain hands-on experience on a variety of projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration, learning, and applying engineering principles in a real-world environment across multiple locations in NY and MA.

Qualifications

• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist Building Mechanical Engineers and Designers to prepare reports and design documents.
• Perform engineering calculations using HVAC design software and Excel.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare HVAC and plumbing drawings and details.
• Learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Participate in Summer Intern Design Project with interns of other building design disciplines.
