Job summary

Xcimer Energy offers a 12-week engineering internship at our Denver, CO headquarters across Mechanical, Electrical, Physics and Software disciplines, designed to support the world’s first commercial fusion power plant.

As an intern you will work with a dedicated mentor to design, analyze, and prototype laser-driven inertial fusion hardware and software, gaining hands-on experience in CAD, simulations, structures, pulsed power, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD program in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, nuclear engineering, or related field.
• Extracurricular projects, volunteering, personal projects, lab research, or prior internship/work experience acceptable.
• Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and simulation.
• Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for fusion energy and willingness to work onsite in Denver, CO.
• U.S. citizen or national, permanent resident, or eligible status for employment.
