Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field for entire duration of internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
• Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA or Pro-E is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle component layouts using CAD software (CATIA).
• Select parts for weight, cost, reliability, and ease of manufacturability.
• Provide technical assistance on prototype, pilot, or production builds.
• Generate engineering calculations on weight distribution and stress analysis.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to solve problems.
• Assist in testing complete vehicles or components.
• Create and manage ECNs using the PLM system.
• Design, model, and test new mechanical systems for vehicles.
• Update bill of materials in the PDM system.
