Frontline Communications, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern to assist engineers across design, production, and testing tasks. You will work with CATIA, review layouts, and support BOM updates.

This internship offers exposure to vehicle design and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams, with opportunities to contribute to weight, cost, and reliability analyses.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field for the entire internship period.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Prior internship or work experience is a plus.
• Experience using CATIA, Pro-E or similar CAD systems is a plus.
• Interest in mechanical design and vehicle engineering.

Responsabilités

• Prepare vehicle component layouts using CAD software (CATIA).
• Select parts for quality-focused design considering weight, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Assist on the assembly floor for prototype, pilot, or production builds.
• Create engineering calculations for weight distribution and performance estimates.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Perform or assist testing of vehicles or components.
• Create and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in the PLM system.
• Design, model, and test mechanical systems that integrate with a vehicle.
