Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, offers an internship to assist engineers and designers in the engineering department. The role focuses on CAD modeling, BOM creation, and engineering change notices to support new or revised designs.

Qualified students must pursue an Associate’s degree in mechanical design or related fields, with CATIA or similar CAD experience and strong attention to detail. Full-time summer availability is required.

Qualifications

• Student working towards an Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or engineering related field for entire duration of internship.
• GPA 3.0 or greater and ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer.
• Experience with CATIA or other CAD design software; ability to read imperial and metric measurements.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering 3D models, 2D drawings, and/or electrical schematic preparation using CAD software.
• Create Bills of Material to support production and/or new product development.
• Create Engineering Change Notices to release new or revised models/drawings.
• Assist with material selection for engineered parts.
• Conform to SOPs, CAD procedures, drafting standards and department policies.
