Job summary

DLR Group is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Charlotte, North Carolina. This paid, full-time internship participates in the Emerging Professional Experience (EPX) program, offering mentorship and hands-on exposure to electrical design within a multidisciplinary team.

You will support the design process from concept through construction documentation, attend team meetings, and gain experience with Revit and on-site visits as available.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM workflow.

Responsibilities

• Work with a licensed engineer designing electrical systems for new construction and/or building renovation projects.
• Attend design team meetings with an electrical engineer and observe coordination among a multi-disciplinary team.
• Assist with the design and development of construction documents primarily using Revit.
• Visit an active construction site (contingent on local project status).
