Job summary

DLR Group is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for its Summer 2027 program in the United States. You will contribute to electrical design for buildings, collaborating with architects and engineers to develop concepts through construction documents.

The paid, full-time internship runs May 18 through August 6, 2027, offering hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to design discussions, site visits, and development of electrical systems within integrated design teams.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.

Responsibilities

• Work with a licensed engineer designing electrical systems for new construction and/or building renovation projects.
• Attend design team meetings with an electrical engineer and observe coordination among multi-disciplinary team members.
• Assist an electrical engineer with the design and development of construction documents primarily using Revit.
• Visit an active construction site (contingent on local construction projects).
