Job summary

TPC Packaging Solutions in Cleveland is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join our automation/integration team. You will work with engineers, the packing equipment sales team, OEMs and suppliers to develop, expand and maintain our robotics and packaging solutions.

Responsibilities include assisting in evaluating end-user applications, selecting equipment, implementing control software, testing systems, and producing CAD designs with thorough documentation. Co-op runs January–April 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a mechanical engineering degree program.
• Prior internship experience is helpful.
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Assist the automation team in assessing the needs of end users' applications.
• Support problem analysis and development of solutions to meet objectives.
• Assist in selecting packaging equipment and robotic components based on requirements.
• Implement software programs to control robotic systems and learn programming tasks.
• Conduct thorough testing of equipment to meet performance and safety standards.
• Document project development and design processes in detail.
• Create CAD plans and designs and develop system specifications and manuals.
• Collaborate with inter-departmental teams and vendors.
