Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, offers a Mechanical/Architectural Engineering co-op in Boston. The role is full-time, onsite from May 2027 through Summer 2027, with overtime eligibility; potential for future opportunities after graduation. You will gain hands-on experience in mechanical/HVAC design on real CMTA projects.

Work with engineers to learn how we design systems and implement energy-efficient measures, and contribute to drawing sets while collaborating with a team and professionals.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
Sophomore (2nd year) or junior (3rd year) preferred.
AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work full time in the office and travel locally for site inspections.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed layout and equipment details of HVAC systems.
Produce one-line diagrams/schematics.
Assist the design team in assembling organized drawing sets.
May assist in data collection and/or field verification.
Work with designers and engineers to develop project aspects.
