Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is offering a full-time co-op for Mechanical/Architectural Engineering students in the Boston area. You will design and detail HVAC systems, create schematics, and support the project team on real CMTA projects within a collaborative office setting.

Ideal candidates are pursuing ME or AE degrees, with interest in building systems, proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT, and strong communication. On-site work with potential for multiple rotations and future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably a sophomore or junior.
• Strong interest in Building Systems Mechanical Engineering.
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Ability to work full time in our office throughout the co-op term.
• Ability to travel locally for job site inspections, field work, etc.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed layout and equipment details of HVAC systems.
• Produce one-line diagrams/schematics.
• Assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings.
• May assist in data collection and/or field verification.
• Work with designers and engineers to develop all aspects of a project.
