Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT seeks a Mechanical Engineer or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the Sentinel (GBSD) program. You will join a multidisciplinary team to design hardware systems, apply ASME processes, and support design reviews.

The role offers a 9/80 schedule with relocation assistance possible and a competitive benefits package. U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance are required, with SAP-eligibility and NX/PLM experience.

Qualifications

• This position requires a STEM degree with related experience; the principal level may require more years.
• US Citizenship with active Secret clearance, current and within scope.
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period of time.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Engineering Scheduling tools.
• Experience performing CAD modeling with Siemens NX or similar.
• Experience resolving issues and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of Mechanical, Electrical and Hardware Integration engineers to design hardware systems and components.
• Apply ASME standard processes and procedures to identify, design, and procure electrical and mechanical hardware.
• Support design of integrated assemblies in accordance with decomposed requirements, compliance documents, and architecture diagrams to support Sentinel CDR.
• Assist in trade studies and create design artifacts including 3D models and product definition packages documented in PLM/NX.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary environment with Systems, Software, Design, Compliance and Hardware engineers.
