Job summary

Cornerstone Recruiting is seeking a technically driven Mechanical Engineer/PM for a hybrid Tulsa-based role. You will lead mechanical design, coordinate project schedules, and collaborate with electrical engineers to deliver constructible, code-compliant solutions from concept through construction documents.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in HVAC/building systems, proficiency with Revit or AutoCAD, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• 4–6 years of relevant engineering experience, depending on education.
• Experience with HVAC, mechanical building systems, or mechanical design for commercial, institutional, or industrial facilities.
• Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools such as Revit or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of building codes, engineering standards, design practices, and construction documentation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects, manage deadlines, and work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or providing technical leadership is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate mechanical engineering activities across multiple projects.
• Develop and review mechanical system designs, engineering calculations, specifications, plans, and construction documents.
• Evaluate designs to ensure compliance with applicable engineering principles, building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate technical developments, project schedules, design reviews, and resolution of engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated, accurate, and constructible designs.
• Review and approve design modifications, technical specifications, and drawing releases within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to support successful project execution.
• Prepare project reports and develop or review opinions of probable construction cost.
• Support and maintain CAD/BIM standards, design procedures, and documentation quality.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and direction to project personnel as needed.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate technical requirements and design decisions to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Help identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, design quality, and project efficiency.
