Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Project Engineer to join a collaborative multidisciplinary team. The role combines hands-on mechanical and piping engineering with broader project leadership, supporting concepts through startup.

You will develop design deliverables, define scope and schedule, coordinate procurement, and serve as a technical bridge among clients and internal disciplines. Strong knowledge of codes and field execution is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience; AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency.
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and piping design deliverables for energy facilities.
• Define scope, schedule, and budget; coordinate procurement and vendor activities.
• Serve as the primary technical contact among clients, internal disciplines, and third-party partners.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary deliverables and perform QA/QC reviews for constructability and operability.
• Develop and maintain core project documentation and design basis documents.
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and startup.
