Black & Veatch, an employee-owned global engineering firm, invites rising university seniors to join as a Summer Intern in the Buildings sub-discipline, supporting Data Center projects. This hands-on role provides exposure to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and design documentation.

No prior internship is required; current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program qualifies you.

Qualifications

• No prior internship required or preferred.
• Current enrollment in ABET-accredited Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
• Involves HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, standby power, flood control systems and other specialties.
• Perform various tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Assist in basic equipment selection.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Schedule project deliverables.
• Collect, organize, and evaluate data.
• Analyze systems using computer modeling.
