Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to support Data Center projects within the Buildings sub-discipline. This internship offers hands-on experience on HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, standby power, and flood-control systems, with ownership-driven culture and collaborative teams.

Qualifications

Current enrollment in ABET‑accredited Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.
No work experience required.
Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings
Involves the design of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, standby power, flood control systems, and other specialties.
Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs
Prepare basic calculations
Assist in basic equipment selection
Coordinate with other disciplines
Collect, organize, and evaluate data
