RTX invites you to join the Hardware Engineering Organization to contribute mechanical engineering expertise to defense systems across radar, missile, and command-and-control platforms. You will participate in the full product lifecycle—from initial concept and structural analysis to rapid prototyping, design verification testing, and factory support.

Qualifications

Master's degree in STEM obtained by start date.
Experience with parametric 3D CAD software to generate 3D models and 2D drawings.
Experience in mechanical design through coursework, research, or projects.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

Design, model, and document mechanical components and major end items per defense system requirements.
Generate and maintain parametric 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings.
Validate design via rapid prototyping, testing, and simulations.
Support factory operations, integration facilities, and external suppliers with manufacturing and assembly.
Participate in design peer reviews and resolve technical action items.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to analyze and resolve mechanical hardware issues.
