Job summary

You will work across the product lifecycle, from concept design to prototyping and validation, employing CAD tools and multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver robust, high-reliability hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM; degree must be obtained by start date.
• Experience utilizing parametric 3D CAD software to generate 3D solid models, mechanical assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings.
• Experience in mechanical design through coursework, academic projects, or hands-on projects.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and document mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and major end items in accordance with defense system requirements.
• Generate and maintain parametric 3D CAD models, complex assembly hierarchies, and detailed 2D drawings.
• Validate design fit, form, and functionality through rapid prototyping, physical testing, and engineering simulations.
• Support factory operations, integration facilities, and external suppliers with product manufacturing, assembly, and integration.
• Participate in design peer reviews, resolve technical items, and conduct trade studies to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to analyze and resolve mechanical hardware issues.
