Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II in Sarasota, FL to design packaging equipment, components, and electro-mechanical systems. You will create BOMs, drawings, and installation manuals, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and 5+ years of machine design experience, proficiency in Inventor/SolidWorks/AutoCAD, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in machine design and designing for manufacturability.
• Packaging experience preferred.
• Must be fluent in Inventor (or SolidWorks) and AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create BOMs and contribute to mechanical design of new products.
• Create and dimension engineering drawings for sheet metal and machined parts.
• Produce installation/train/manufacturer drawings and final assembly drawings.
• Maintain drawing database and process Engineering Change Orders.
• Support Purchasing/Production and coordinate prototype fabrication with vendors.
• Design and document experiments for R&D and evaluate mechanical equipment.
• Specify components and adjust designs to meet standards and performance specs.
• Conduct root cause analysis and communicate results to stakeholders.
