Job summary

Raytheon’s Air Launched Effectors Department seeks a Mechanical Engineer II in Tucson, AZ for on-site work. You will design, develop, and document components for tactical missile systems, and support production and suppliers globally.

Requires a university degree (or equivalent) with 2+ years experience, CAD in CREO, and GD&T proficiency. Domestic/international travel may be required, and security clearance is necessary.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years, or an advanced degree.
• Experience in mechanical design and design documentation.
• GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• Experience with CREO or similar 3D CAD software.
• Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for missile systems.
• Support factory and suppliers with product development and troubleshooting.
• Interface with other disciplines and suppliers to develop design solutions.
• Work with limited supervision to meet schedule, cost, and technical goals.
• Participate in design peer reviews and trade studies.
