Job summary

Accelevation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop UL 891 compliant low-voltage switchboards and robust enclosures. You will create 3D models and BOMs in SolidWorks and collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and vendor partners from concept through validation.

This hands-on role emphasizes manufacturability, cost efficiency, and high-quality integration of electrical components. You will prototype, test, resolve fabrication concerns, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-4 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including part modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
• Experience designing sheet metal enclosures.
• Understanding mechanical integration within electrical products.
• Familiarity with laser cutting, punching, bending, and welding.
• Strong problem-solving with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Design low-voltage switchboards and power enclosures.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and BOMs in SolidWorks.
• Design sheet metal components for manufacturability and cost.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers for integration.
• Validate designs with fabrication vendors and address issues.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Assist with design changes and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of mechanical standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
