Accelevation is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join our team in Ohio. The role focuses on UL 891 low-voltage switchboards, switchgear design, and documentation. You will work with manufacturing, purchasing, project management, and quality teams to meet UL and industry standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong power distribution knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, and EPLAN. A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in switchgear/switchboards or industrial power systems.
• Familiarity with UL 891 requirements and NEC/NFPA 70.

Aufgaben

• Design and engineer low-voltage switchboards and switchgear assemblies per specs.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and panel layouts.
• Select components such as circuit breakers, busbars, CTs/PTs, relays.
• Perform load, short-circuit, conductor sizing, and voltage-drop calculations.
• Apply UL 891 and NEC/NFPA requirements to designs.
• Review drawings, submittals, and customer specs for technical compliance.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation.
• Support production with wiring, assembly, and design issue resolution.
• Coordinate with suppliers on component specifications and substitutions.
• Participate in design reviews, root-cause analyses, and testing.
