Job summary

MIKEL seeks a Mechanical Engineer III to join our on-site team in Middletown, RI, supporting Undersea Warfare solutions for the U.S. Navy.

This role requires collaboration with DoW and government engineers, and involves design, analysis, and documentation of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. The candidate will perform CAE analyses, develop 3D models using SolidWorks and OrCAD, and prepare reports and work statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in a regulated industry.
• Ability to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
• Willingness to work on-site with DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with customer teams on-site to identify needs and align services.
• Design, analyze, and document mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Perform CAE analyses including fluid, thermal, and structural problems.
• Develop 3D models and drawings using CAD tools.
• Prepare reports, test plans, procedures, and statements of work.
