Job summary

MIKEL, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support four NUWC Keyport divisions in TT&E, maintenance, and life-cycle support of undersea warfare systems. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, knowledge of CAD tools (Solid Edge/SolidWorks), and experience with GD&T, MATLAB, and LabVIEW.

A SECRET clearance is required. Located in Keyport, WA, the team delivers test engineering, fielding, and sustainment for naval platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Junior: BS in Mechanical Engineering desired; four years of electrical engineering experience desired. Master’s may substitute for two years.
• Senior: BS in Mechanical Engineering; seven years of electrical engineering experience desired; master’s may substitute for two years.
• Experience with mechanical/electro-mechanical components, CAD, documentation and design standards (GD&T) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Support NUWC Division Keyport in Test & Evaluation (T&E) activities for Undersea Warfare systems.
• Provide design, development, integration, test and deployment support for mechanical and electronics systems.
• Create manufacturing and assembly drawings using Solid Edge/SolidWorks or equivalent.
• Produce technical documentation using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
