Job summary

MIKEL is seeking a Systems Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain complex systems for the U.S. Navy programs.

The role requires close collaboration with software, hardware, and network teams to ensure integrated, high-performance infrastructure and reliable operations. The candidate will document configurations, participate in testing, and manage updates, backups, and disaster recovery while adhering to DoD security requirements and DoD protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role with strong system architecture knowledge.
• Proficiency with Linux/Windows server management and networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain complex systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and network teams for seamless integration.
• Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures.
• Participate in testing and validation to ensure reliability and user fit.
• Perform updates, patches, and upgrades for security and performance.
• Manage configurations, backups, and disaster recovery.
