Job summary

MIKEL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support NUWC Division Keyport WA, focusing on test, evaluation, repair, and life-cycle support for undersea weapon systems. This full-time role requires handling complex assemblies and documentation, with a SECRET clearance preferred.

Location: Keyport, Washington. The candidate will engage across four departments, ensuring engineering quality and readiness for fleet customers, while leveraging CAD tools and analytical software to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering for junior level.
• Journeyman: plus 4+ years in electrical engineering for complex systems; master may substitute for 2 years.
• Senior: 7+ years in electrical engineering for complex systems; master may substitute for 2 years.
• Experience with GD&T and mechanical design standards ideal.
• Experience with CAD, electro-mechanical systems, and documentation tools ideal.

Responsibilities

• Support four departments: TT&E, Undersea Weapons, Systems & Sustainment Engineering, and Unmanned & Theater Undersea warfare systems.
• Assist in testing, repair, design, production, and life-cycle support of combat and weapon systems.
• Create technical documentation and drawings using CAD tools.
• Ensure configuration management and risk mitigation in project activities.
