Job summary

MIKEL in Keyport, WA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support four major departments of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport. The role includes Test & Evaluation, weapon systems support, life-cycle engineering, and unmanned systems integration.

Responsibilities span testing and evaluation, in-service engineering for ASW/USW systems, and providing design, production, testing, fielding, sustainment, and modifications.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Journeyman/Senior levels require more years of experience in electrical engineering for complex systems; master's may substitute for years of experience.
• GD&T and mechanical engineering development standards are desired.
• Experience with CAD systems like Solid Edge/Solid Works and creating manufacturing drawings is desired.
• Familiarity with FEA is desirable.
• Ability to create technical documentation using MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Test & Evaluation (T&E) for Undersea Warfare systems within NUWC Keyport.
• Support for Undersea Weapons and sustainment engineering programs including ISEA and fielding activities for ASW/USW systems.
• Provide design, production, test services, and lifecycle support for combat/weapon systems.
