Job summary

MIKEL in Keyport, WA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support NUWC divisions in TT&E of Undersea Warfare systems. This full-time professional role focuses on design, test, and lifecycle support for combat and weapon systems.

Responsibilities include testing, maintenance, and engineering analysis across four departments, including ISEA, ASW/USW systems, and life-cycle sustainment; you will produce technical data and drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college
• A minimum four (4) years of experience in electrical engineering for complex systems; MS may substitute for two years
• Senior: BS in Mechanical Engineering with seven (7) years of e xperience in electrical engineering for complex systems; MS may substitute for two years
• GD&T experience is desired
• Experience with electro-mechanical components/systems, CAD, and documentation tools

Responsibilities

• Test & Evaluation (T&E) for Undersea Warfare systems within NUWC Keyport.
• Support repair, production, and test services for mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronics systems.
• Create and maintain technical data, drawings, and documentation for life-cycle support.
• Provide ISEA, maintenance, and sustainment engineering for ASW/USW systems.
• Lead design and packaging tasks; develop tooling/fixturing for testing.
• Utilize Solid Edge/Solid Works, MATLAB, and LabVIEW for analysis and testing.
