Job summary

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 4+ years of industrial design experience, proficiency in CAD, and strong communication skills. ASME codes knowledge is a plus, with opportunities across multiple projects in a global industrial tech company.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years designing mechanical components and systems for industrial applications.
• Proficient in 3D modeling software to design parts, assemblies and drawings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3 and BPVC construction preferred.
• Experience with common measurement instruments.
• Experience with product development and product life cycle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to conduct routine analyses and/or tests pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials or processes.
• Write test procedures, compile, and evaluate design & test data and prepare technical specifications.
• Recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes.
• Evaluate non-conformances in production to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Contributes to project planning, including estimating effort and cost, prioritizing/ordering tasks.
• Provide technical clarification about product function, acceptable modifications, and limitations to sales groups and customers.
• Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement, both for products and processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
