Job summary

Atec, Inc. is seeking an engineer to design, analyze, and support mechanical and electromechanical systems for aerospace and industrial applications. You will review SOWs, create layouts, and perform FEA/CFD analyses, guiding fabrication and testing to meet specifications.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical/aerospace engineering and hands-on experience with SolidWorks, MATLAB, and ANSYS products. Collaboration across teams and adherence to AS9100/ISO standards are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or related field; 3–8 years experience.
• Experience with 3-D modeling, FEA/CFD tools, and MATLAB.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and engineering software suites.

Responsibilities

• Review SOWs, specs, and manuals to ensure requirements are met.
• Design components of mechanical/thermal/hydraulic or heat transfer systems.
• Prepare layouts, drawings, and schematics.
• Perform FEA/CFD analyses and hand calculations as needed.
• Direct fabrication and participate in testing of control equipment.
• Coordinate fabrication/installation to meet standards and specs.
• Evaluate field installations and propose design modifications.
• Assist in developing quotes and technical proposals.
• Ensure AS9100/ISO compliance and report deviations.
